May 20 - Story Hour for children ages 30 months – 4 years old will begin today. Children will be dismissed during the service.May 27 - This is the last day of season for Little Lambs, Children’s Worship, Sunday School and High School Catechism.
June 3 - This is graduate recognition Sunday. Please join us in saluting our graduates.
Summer - Plans are underway to have a church softball league in Lake City this summer. If you would like to play and/or coach a co-ed softball team from Lake City CRC please call the church office at 839-4978. This will be an opportunity for men and women and will include kids ages 13+ years old.
Are you looking for a way to share your gifts in our church or community? Here are a variety of opportunities:
Jail Ministry - May 13th is our Sunday to lead worship at the Missaukee County Jail. If you'd like to participate, please contact Mark Mortensen at 839-7406. Worship is at 2pm.
Food Drive - Some of our 8th grade students from NMCS are having a food drive for Lighthouse Café. Please drop off your non-perishable food items at the table in the narthex. We will be collecting your donations through May 13. This food drive is for a school project based on James 2:14-26.
Outreach Team - We are looking for team members for the newly created Outreach Team. Do you want to help encourage and empower our congregation to reach out to our community? If you would like more information, call Erin Heuker at 825-2143.
VBS Volunteers - We have a number of leaders and helpers needed for VBS this summer (June 18-22). If you would be willing to serve in any number of different ministry opportunities please call or e-mail Laura Powell at lauraepowell@gmail.com or 231-884-1398.
Bible Bee Registration - In its 4th year, the Bible Bee is a family discipleship tool that encourages Scripture memory, Bible study, and prayer. With locations all over the nation, one of the Local Bible Bees will take place this summer at our church. The Bible Bee is geared to 7-18 year olds, but older and younger participants are also welcome. Registration is open now until May 31 at www.biblebee.org.
