When was the last time you were torn up inside because of people’s idols or from seeing those who are far from God? The sight in Athens so ‘greatly distressed’ Paul that he looked for common ground, for ways to engage people in conversation. He went to the synagogue, to Walmart (the marketplace), to the places where people met to discuss and debate the latest ideas (the coffee shop?), all in an attempt to engage in conversations about Jesus. Paul genuinely cared about people who were far from God. Where might you find common ground to have conversations with others about Jesus? How might you love others into the Kingdom?
